Norbreck sired cattle in hot demand in Carlisle

A much-admired daughter of Norbreck marketed bull Clinton Du Falgi sold at 5600gns topping the Carlisle multi pedigree beef day last week, where Blues were in hot demand. Forward from A and CS Comrie, Lanark, Stonebyres Primrose is a February 2020-born heifer and found a new home with Messrs Gethin, Newtown.

Taking the lead in the bulls at 5100gns was Hallfield Orca, a son of another Norbreck marketed bull, this time Farouk De St Amand. Forward from Stewart Gill, Harrogate, the hammer went down to Messrs Temple, Broughton-in-Furness.

While Blue numbers weren’t strong at the sale, averages of more than £3800 for females and more than £4100 for bulls represented a healthy demand for the Blues on offer.
