EMBRYO DONORS
We challenge any company in the UK to give better access to the latest embryos from the British Blue/ Belgian Blue heifers and cows we have invested. The Genetics are home bred, imported and purchased from ‘deep’ cow families with several generations of quality breeding and correctness built into the ‘genes’.
Finding the perfect combination for Embryo Transfer work is crucial. Norbreck Genetics pride themselves on mating the very best females to the very best sires to give ‘world class’ calves.
EPICE DU FALGI
We found this stunning red and white Belgian Blue heifer in 2018 when touring top herds in Belgium. Epice was among a group of more than 30 weaned heifers and stood out a mile from her contemporaries. Sired by Zougar D’Ozo, she is out of Veronique Du Falgi, a special cow in the Du Falgi herd.
She was sold to the IZ British Blue herd in 2018 and was shown successfully in 2019 culminating in the following success:
Royal Welsh Show – Junior female champion, reserve female champion and reserve breed champion
Cheshire County Show – Champion British Blue and reserve supreme Continental champion
BLUESTAR IRISH LADY
Owned in conjunction with John Redmond in Ireland, this beautiful and incredibly powerful daughter of Nelson Des Peupliers weighs in at well over 1000kg!
Irish Lady is out of the massive show winning cow Firmount Connie, one of Empire D’Ochain finest daughters. She has produced a show daughter in the UK sired by Tenace De La Praule in the form of Bluestar Lady Gaga.
This is an exciting breeding prospect at Norbreck and there will be more to come from her later in the year.
STOWBECK JUDITH
This cow originates from the heart of our Norbreck herd. Her grand dam is Norbreck Baltimore who was a powerful daughter of the noted Dafydd D’Ochain. Judith’s great, great grand dam is the one and only Norbreck Havana – our foundation female that bred many champions and top AI bulls.
We have recipients carrying her progeny due later in 2020.
WOODIE DU FALGI
Imported from Belgium in 2019 along with her Rocco De La Hasse sired daughter, she is out of a family of some of the best females in Belgium. Woodie is sired by the popular bull Langoureux De Fooz, noted for breeding size, power and good mobility.
VEXOUR KWIK KIT P960
Purchased in 2016 at Stirling Pedigree Sales. Kwik Kit took the reserve female championship and was purchased from merchant banker Jan Boomaars. She is by Duncanziemere Evolution K355, a son of the popular Auldhouseburn Karlos D218. She is out of the Rawburn Jack Eric D331 daughter, Meiklebob Kiwi Kit H176, going back to tegsnose breeding. She carries a Self Replacing Index of +54.
FERNHILL PAMMY M823
Purchased at the Cheerbrook dispersal sale in October 2019, Fernhill Pammy M823 is a powerful daughter of Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 out of Netherton Pam C231, herself a daughter of Netherton trendy Man A085. She has breed character in abundance and originates from a fantastic dam line.
Pammy boasts a Self Replacing Index of +67, a terminal Index of +52, Milk of +22 and Eye Muscle Area of +5.9, all traits ranking in the top 1% of the breed.
On the day of her purchase, her progeny sold equally well with a two daughters selling for 10,000gns and 4500gns and a son selling for 12,000gns.
