Congratulations to the team at The English Winter Fair at the weekend on putting on a great show of stock and to the hard work of all the exhibitors. Norbreck director, Philip Halhead was in action judging the interbreed championship in the National Pedigree Calf Show, as well as the Royal Smithfield Club’s Duke of Norfolk championship on the second day of the show.
Having been impressed with the British Blue heifer, Solway View Ria, from Kevin Watret, Philip tapped her out to take the pedigree championship, ahead of a stylish Aberdeen-Angus heifer from Owen Tunney.
The Blues continued their winning form on the second day to take the interbreed Group of Three championship in the Royal Smithfield Club’s Duke of Norfolk competition, with the Hereford team standing reserve.
