Blue show and sale at Carlisle
Despite a steady days trading at the British Blue sale in Carlisle Norbreck Genetics customers enjoyed the better prices been paid for the very best types of cattle.
Nigel Pritchard had Reserve Male Champion with Norton Eddy sire: TAMHORN SUMO selling for 4800gns
D.J.Wyllie had 2nd prize with Tamhorn Ferdinand sire: EMPIRE D'OCHAIN, tracing back to the great cow Norbreck Kitty. This tall long bull with plenty of power sold for 6000gns
RS & CL Pattinson sold Kelowna Ferdinand, the first mature BLUEGRASS CYCLONE bull to sell at auction for 6000gns. He sold weighing 940kg @ a little over 17 months old.
Norbreck Genetics sold a recipient carrying an embryo to G R Jones 'Whiterock' herd some two years ago. They calved a bull calf and won 1st prize in the pre-sale show with the resultant bull 'Whiterock Firestorm' selling for 5000 gns, a son of the famous Ridgedean Jessie.
