The Border Club Calf Show at Agri-Expo 2011

The Judge, Tommy Fitzgerald, (Heatherview Herd) travelled from Eire to judge the selection of calves that travelled the length and breadth of the country to support this event.
The overall championship was awarded to AE Neachell & Son with Cromwell Gia a January 2011, exceptionally well grown, daughter of Bringlee Carlos (SR) ET and out of Cromwell Duchess ET.
The reserve overall championship went to Mick Gamble & Sarah Rigg with Sharplaw Gamble a 6 month old black & white, well grown son of Nether Hall Costa and out of Marsh Blue Bluebell. The BK Memorial Trophy for the reserve overall champion animal was presented to Mick & Sarah. They were also presented with the Bellas trophy for the best animal opposite sex to the champion.
Young Handler goes to Josh Bellas
The young handler class was won by Josh Bellas leading Croftends G Force ET. Elaine & Mark Hartley awarded Josh with the Pendle plaque.
AE Neachell & Son won the Progeny group with two Bringlee Carlos (SR) ET heifer calves. Cromwell Gia (1th in her class, female & overall champion) out of Cromwell Duchess ET and Cromwell Gigi (2nd in her class) out of Cromwell Darling ET.
The reserve progeny group went to two Bringlee Volkawagon ET bred calves shown by Blair & Shona Comrie. The first was Stonebyres Forte ET (5th in his class), and the second, Stonebyres Fagan ET (3rd in his class).
Phil Halhead presented the Norbreck Genetics perpetual trophy for the breeder with the most points to Redhead & Watson (Tweeddale Herd) for the second year running.
