Norbreck Genetics is proud of its strength as a farmer among farmers. The desire to improve returns on beef cross calves from our commercial Holstein herd led us to quickly recognise the potential of the British Blue. As a result we now have an unrivalled depth of knowledge in pedigree British and Belgian Blue genetics and cross breeding.
Since the 1980’s we have operated as a valuable test centre for Belgian and British Blue AI sires monitored for suitability across dairy herds. Only the elite join our pedigree breeding programme - one reason why many of our bulls are accepted for AI breeding worldwide.
Belgian Alliance
With the liberation of the Belgian semen industry we developed an alliance with FABROCAsprl and now introduce new bulls that are ideal for the UK providing height, growth, excellent mobility and heavy muscling.
Industry Award
At the RASE Show 2007, in recognition of his services to cattle breeding and genetics, Philip Halhead was presented with an award from the Council for Awards of the Royal Agricultural Societies. He became an Associate of the Society ARAgs and was presented with the award by Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
