Dafydd D'Ochain youngstock sell strongly at Woodview sale

Almost 20% of the cattle forward at the Woodview sale this month were by Dafydd D'Ochain. There were 11 progeny forward by Dafydd D'Ochain, averaging just over 3,000gns.

The second highest price on the day was for Woodview Bambie ET - a 19 week old heifer out of Woodview Trixie by Dafydd D'Ochain. Suckling a recipient she sold for 6,500gns.

Woodview Aleaha ET, born in October is yet another promising heifer, selling for 5,200gns. There were 11 progeny by Dafydd D'Ochain out of Woodview Trixie - averaging just over 3,000gns.

Breeders commented that the best prices were for the January born heifer calves out of Trixie by Dafyd D'Ochain. The five lots averaged 4,040 gns - for 19 week old heifers on suckling recipients.

20 embryo's by Dafydd D'Ochain were sold at the end of the sale and averaged 481gn. The success of the Woodview Trixie x Dafydd D'Ochain youngstock saw nine embryo's with the same breeding fetching 470gns. Highest price for embryo's was 570gns x 3 embryo's out of Woodview Sue ET by Dafydd D'Ochain
