Dafydd daughter wins at the Royal Highland Show

A special day for the Bellas family and for Dafydd D’Ochain

Andrew and Jonathan Bellas travelled to the Highland Show with three animals and travelled back with the Male Champion, Female Champion and Overall Champion.

The first of the young heifer classes included 19 heifers - it was the largest and hardest to judge. But leading the parade was Croftends Black Beauty - the young and very stylish daughter of Dafydd D’Ochain. This heifer was much admired by the large crowd and was an easy winner. 

Another daughter of Dafydd stood in second place – Andrew Craig travelled across the water to show his young heifer Woodview Bambie who also has great potential for the future.

Croftends Beauty went on to win Junior Female Champion, Female champion and the Overall Belgian Blue Championship.

The judge commented afterwards that “She is such a sweet heifer, one I’d very much like to have taken home myself - she stood out from the moment she entered the ring”.
