Speaking at the Northern Ireland A.G.M

Phil Halhead, Managing Director of Norbreck Genetics visited Northern Ireland this month to speak at the Northern Ireland belgian Blue Club A.G.M.

Philip gave a presentation on the wide range of stud bulls on offer for dairy farmers, beef producers and pedigree breeders - stressing the importance of the Belgian Blue breed in the commercial market. He commented that Belgian Blue sires now account for over 75% of beef semen inseminations - a trend that is on the increase.

The meeting also gained an insight to the development work of Norbreck Genetics. Having travelled as far as South America and Botswana to promote the breed, Norbreck genetics now export semen as far away as Australia, South America and Africa.
