Championship success for Sumo daughter Tamhorm Waterlily

Cumberland Show Champion and Reserve interbreed Beef Champion

This Tamhorn Sumo daughter was pipped at the post for Interbreed Championship at The Cumberland Show by the Charolais champion - a heifer that took the Great Yokrshire Show Interbreed Beef Championship earlier this month.

Beating the Cumberland Show Charolais champion was always going to be a tough task becasue the Charolais classes had added appeal with the addition of the Northern National Charolais Show, attracting over 100 Charolais entries.

What was not expected was the closeness of the final result! All six beef judges were awarding points out of ten and each judge had Tamhorn Waterlily in either first or second place.

Tamhorn Waterlily is a 2 1/2 year old daughter by Tamhorn Sumo and out of the Tamhorn Milly cow. Earlier this month she also won Reserve Champion at the RASE Show and also at The Three Counties Show
