Congratulations to the Bellas family on their Championship win with Croftends Emma ET, a daughter of Croftends Belle ET by Empire D'Ochain. Judge Eileen Wilson said that until she entered the ring, she had not appreciated just how many good young cattle would be on show and her task was a difficult one, but she was very pleased with her final Championship choice saying:
"Croftends Emma is very correct, full of style with excellent length and good mobility."

Commenting, Phil halhead said "Croftends Emma ET also won the Agri Expo event in autumn 2009 - she showed great promise then and continues to do so today. She is the first Dafydd D'Ochain x Empire D'Ochain so we are very pleased to see this breeding do so well."
Empire daughters win two classes....
Following their class three win with Emma, the Bellas family went on to win class four also - with the stylish Croftends Elizabeth ET - another daughter of Empire D'Ochain. This heifer is out of show winning Croftends Black Beauty who was by Dafydd D'Ochain.
Sharplaw Engineer ET from Mick Gamble and Sarah Rigg of the Sharplaw herd took first place in Class two. The calf was a result of an embryo sold to the herd by Norbreck Genetics. Engineer is by Empire and out of the stylish Cowden Blueberry ET cow (which is full sister to Cowden Babycham who is currently flushing well for Norbreck Genetics.)
Contgratulations to all the handlers who took part in this competition, sponsored by Norbreck Genetics. This year all the handlers had chance to pick up some top tips from Judge Eileen Wilson of the Aprilton herd.
