winning the Gisburn Christmas Calf Show

The 2009 Gisburn Auction Marts Christmas show of rearing calves saw 217 calves entered from farms in Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire. The overall champion a seven-week-old British Blue bull sold for £500, from dairy farmer, Tom Holden, Chaigley, Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Valley Pedro semen is no longer available but the father and daughter team are now using Dragons Blue Champ semen - hoping to emulate their calf show success in the future.
