Cowden Artic and Cowden Vesuvius - semen exported to Texas USA
A consignment of British Blue semen has been successfully exported to Texas, USA, following orders made through the e-commerce site Semenstore.co.uk as part of a multi breed shipment. The Blue sires - Cowden Artic and Cowden Vesuvius, were both selected by Norbreck Genetics for the Cogent stud.
Henry Lewis, Chairman of the British Livestock Genetics Consortium, welcomed the export news and said, “Semenstore is a great initiative and is proving to be an excellent service to the British breeding sector. This multi-breed order to Texas marks another exciting development and offers tremendous potential for the forward marketing of British genetics."
The semen orders were sent from Semenstore’s storage hub at Cogent Breeding Ltd, to the Texas-based company Champion Genetics before being forwarded to the Texas/Mexico border herd of Javier Moreno.
