Excellent turn out for Young Handler Class at border Blue Calf Show

everyone worked hard to handle their calves

A strong line up of Young Handlers!!!!!

The young heifers in the final class of the Calf Show highlighted great promise for the future - as did the Young Handlers Class. With eight Young Handlers in the ring  Judge Morag Cartney had a difficult task.

There were more young handlers than we have had in the past - partly due to the half term break. It was great to see them all taking it seriously  - every one of them kept a very close eye on the judge.

The competition was finally won by Josh Bellas who recently turned 9. Josh was showing a very large calf and he did a great job of keeping its head up at all times!

Well done to everyone else who really showed great improvements on previous years. We know where to come when we want to train some of our own calves. We have shown here pictures of all the handlers - taking it VERY seriously.

Josh receives the Norbreck Genetics Plaque
