The oldest Bringlee Volkawagon progeny take Carlisle by storm
Bringlee Volkawagon was bought exactly three years ago by Netherhall Farms for 11,500gns at the 2005 May Show and Sale. This weekend his oldest progeny showed all the traits of height, muscle, style and success in the show and sale ring:

Netherhall Buster - Reserve Supreme Champion sold for 17000gns
Netherhall Costa - 2nd prize and sold for 6500gns
Kelowna Charnock - 3rd prize and sold for 9000gns
Heifers:
Netherhall Brandy - 2nd prize and sold for 9000gns
Nehterhall Clever Girl - 1st prize and sold for 8500gns
Netherhall Buster is Reserve Supreme Champion and sold for 17,000gns
Buster is the oldest son of Volkawagon and he had the ringside buzzing. Buster won his class, became Intermediate Male Champion and went on to take Reserve Supreme Championship on the Friday night.
On Saturday spectators were not disappointed - bidding was very competitive. He finally went on to sell for 17,000 gns, eclipsing the figure payed for his sire three years ago. Buster was sold to
JC Innes & Sons, Dunscroft, Huntly Aberdeen.

Reserve Supreme Champion and sold for 17,000gns
Two other bulls by Volkawagon stood 2nd and third in the same intermediate class. They both exhibited scope and exceptional loin muscle. Steve Pattinson's Kelowna Charnkock was Reserve Male Champion at the BBBC Calf show but was beaten in to third place by Netherhall Charnock.

Netherhall Costa and Kelowna Charnock stand 2nd and 3rd in class.
Lot 111 Netherhall Costa - 2nd prize and sold for 6500gns
This 15 month bull is out of Paulerne Umi - a Blue cow bred by Ernie Hemmings that has never had her feet touched. Costa has excellent legs and feet and was photographed end of April.
Lot 113 Kelowna Charnock stood third to Costa and sold for 9000gns.
Charnock is the fifth natural calf for his dam and at 14 months he is long and well balanced. He was sold for 9000gns to Thomas Threlkeld near Penrith.
Full sister to Netherhall Buster takes top female price
Netherhall Brandy is the oldest Volkawagon heifer and is full sister to Netherhall Buster who sold at the same sale for 17000gns having been awarded Reserve Supreme Champion earlier in the show. Brandy stood second to her stable companion Netherhall Betty Boo, a Dafydd D'Ochain daughter who went on to take Female Championship honours.

Lot 154 Netherhall Clevergirl - 1st prize and sold for 8,500gns to The Cromwell Herd
This stylish 14 month old heife is long, well muscled and exhibits the potential we anticipated when crossing Dafydd with Volkawagon. She went on to take 1st place in a strong class and was later sold to The Cromwell Herd for 8500gns.
