Tripple celebration for the Pendle Herd

 

Reserve Champion Male at the Border Belgian Blue Club Calf Show was won by a Blue Stone Union Jack son from Pendle Belgian Blue's. It was a tripple celebration for the Hartley family as Isabella won best handler with younger brother Thomas winning second place.

The Hartley's took the reserve male championship with Pendle Bonanza a June 2006 son of Blue Stone Union Jack - he too was Reserve Senior Male Champion at the clubs May 04 sale when he was sold for 6,500gns.

The young handler competition is sponsored by Norbreck Genetics who provided a perpetual shield for the competition. "The development of the breed goes hand in hand with the development of young breeders" commented Phil Halhead, Managing Director of Norbreck Genetics, "the showman skills demonstrated by Isabella and Thomas are a credit to their family and set a high standard for showmen in the future" he added.

This is the second year in a row that Isabella has won and in the previous year she was second. Congratulations to both of you for the high standards you set.
