Blue Stone Union Jack son steals the day at Carlisle
Pendle Australia, a March 2005 son of Blue Stone Union Jack started the day by winning his class and ended it with the leading sale price of 6,000 gns.
Australia is a March 2005 son of Blue Stone Union Jack who was reserve senior male champion and sold for 6,500gns Carlisle May 2004. Union Jack who recently joined the Norbreck Genetics stud, is by the noted Baron Du Bois Bauloye. His dam Pendle Trixy is by Philipper and out of Stowbeck Lulu. The successful bid came from J Lewis & Son, Carters Farm, Norton, Presteigne, Powys.
Dafydd D’Ochain sons are maternal brothers to Tamhorn Sumo
Tamhorn Amazon 5,000gns Tamhorn Ambassador 4,800gns
Judge Danny Wyllie brought with him two sons of Dafydd D’Ochain out of the brood cow Leverhulme Nimbus – mother to Tamhorn Sumo. Whilst he obviously couldn’t show the bulls, they did still attracted keen interest. With an EBV of +17 and selling for 5,000gns was Tamhorn Amazon ET who faced the journey to A & D Clark’s home at Holm in Orkney. His second Dafydd son, Tamhorm Ambassador ET, sold for 4,800gns.
Dafydd D’Ochain heifer takes Reserve Female Champion
Selling for 4,200gns was female champion and 1st prize unserved heifer Midas Alice ET. This Dafydd D’Ochain youngster stood as Reserve Female Champion next to her mother Radieuse 5429 De Haute Somme who was top price female selling for 4,500gns.
Also catching the eye of breeders was Midas Bedazzled, her 7 month old heifer calf by Dafydd D’Ochain who was sold separately for 2,500gns. |
